Air Quality Surveys - The Why!

Things to consider regarding a Survey:

What are the needs that would define the required Survey?:

• Is the property to undergo remediation?
  • Failure to identify all possible locations and causation aspects may not allow for complete and effective remediation.
• Is there a need to find the water intrusion sources?
• Without locating and repairing the water intrusion issue will allow the Mold to grow back.
• Are the Occupants sick or claim to be sick?
  • Regardless of whether this is a rental property or personal residences, if you are experiencing reoccurring health issues these maybe from mold contamination. A survey will not only identify the possible issue but also assist your Doctor in his evaluation and your treatment.
• Does anyone have Asthma and or Allergies?
  • Mold can act a triggers for the onset of Asthma and Allergies if you are not currently sensitized and can cause more frequent and prolonged attacks if you are sensitized.
• Does anyone have a Hypersensitivity disorder?

• Are Babies or young children present?
  • Babies and children are more susceptible then adults, the main reason for this is their bodies are growing at a much faster rate. The mold spores can invade and attack their respiratory system easier.
• Is the Property housing Elderly?
  • Many elderly people have a lower resistance level, this allows to mold spores to manifest themselves and invade the body with colds, rashes, etc.
• Will there be any Occupants with immune deficiencies?
  • People with immune deficiencies need to be extremely aware of their environment and its ability create medical issues. Mold is one of these environmental issues that can impair them and cause them extreme harm.
• Has anyone undergone a bone marrow transplant?
