We were confronted with a boy in a bubble situation. His parents had to sell their home and move into a single story house as they could no longer carry their son up and down the stairs. The new house was independently tested and 2 minor locations were identified for remediation one was under the kitchen sink and the other was a cable entry in what would become the boys bedroom.
Our initial proposal to clean it up was $1,200.00 the seller decided to have his handyman do it instead. After the handyman provided his repair the property was retested and now the entire property was contaminated. We were again requested to provide a proposal for remediation but our cost was now $5,900.00. We provided the remediation the property passed clearance but much more important the boy had a healthy environment to live in.
