There are various types of Indoor Environmental Air Quality Surveys available depending on the particular needs of the project and the information provided. Utilizing state of the art electronic moisture detection equipment, viable and non viable air/surface samples, bio-reveal real-time biological detection system, infra red technology, education and experience will allow our Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP) to identify Indoor Environmental Air Quality issues, Mold and Allergen contamination.

Mold Investigation, Evaluation and Testing are conducted exclusively by our teams of Indoor Environmental Professionals (IEP). Our investigations and reports provide an in depth analysis of the various interior and exterior environmental conditions that could effect your health and that of your loved ones that can be traced to Mold growth and contamination.
We utilize the latest state of the art detection equipment and combine this with our decades of experience, knowledge of structures and building assemblies, our construction and architectural background all this allows us to pinpoint the water intrusion issue and any mold amplification.
Things to consider regarding a Survey:
- What are the needs that would define the required Survey?:
See how the following needs relate to the Surveys below.
- Is the property to undergo remediation?
- Is there a need to find the water intrusion sources?
- Are the Occupants sick or claim to be sick?
- Does anyone have Asthma and or Allergies?
- Are Babies or young children present?
- Is the Property housing Elderly?
- Will there be any Occupants with immune deficiencies?
- Has anyone undergone a bone marrow transplant?
- This is a Public Facility, Health Facility, School, etc?.
- Tenant / Landlord issue
- Any time Mold Remediation is accomplished a Post Remediation Validation Test (PRVT) would be required.
Examples of Surveys
There are several options when it comes to Indoor Environmental Air Quality Surveys. Determining which one is best for you depend on your needs, the properties physical status and historical information provided to our Indoor Environmental Professional.
Indoor Environmental Air Quality Survey (IEAQS)

An Indoor Environmental Air Quality Survey (IEAQS) provides a quick an inexpensive air quality evaluation of any property. This survey is ideal for buyers, sellers, Realtors and especially suited for Tenant / Landlord issues.
This is the most cost effective survey we offer that would screen the indoor air quality.
Indoor Environmental Air Quality Survey (IEAQS) Accompanied with an Allergen Screen

An Indoor Environmental Air Quality Survey (IEAQS) Accompanied with an Allergen Screen survey provides the same level of services as the IEAQS but adds an Allergen Screen.
Sensitivity to indoor allergens is a worldwide problem for large segments of the population and is relevant from early childhood through adulthood. Indoor allergens have been shown to play a major role both in sensitization and as triggers of asthma in children. This survey should be used by anyone who has allergy, asthma or any other respiratory issue.
Molds may not be the primary health issue source it may have to do with other sources such as Cat, Dog, Dust Mite and Cockroach allergens this survey can identify those additional sources. (Click here for details)
Indoor Environmental Air Quality Survey (IEAQS) Accompanied with an Allergen Screen and Forensic Evaluation

This Indoor Environmental Air Quality Survey (IEAQS) Accompanied with an Allergen Screen and Forensic Evaluation provides the same level of services as the IEAQS with an Allergen Screen but adds a Forensic Evaluation of the property and it’s readily accessible causation sources, which includes:
- temperature, and humidity readings
- moisture readings
- identification of readily available causation sources
- an evaluation conducted on areas of specific concern
This survey should be utilized where:
- A causation and remediation protocol is needed for property repair
- Occupants are sick or claim to be sick
- Babies or young children are present
- Elderly are present
- People with immune deficiencies
- People that have undergone a bone marrow transplant
- This is a Public Facility, Health Facility, School, etc.
Basic Survey Report (BSR)
This is a limited environmental property survey which addresses visibly discolored areas, moisture and protein sources. Moisture and protein sources, when identified, could already contribute to Mold, Bacterial or Viral contamination or left untreated would create a contamination issue and unhealthy indoor environment.
This survey provides for; a visible survey conducted on areas of identifiable discoloration; areas of specific concern to the Occupants; temperature and humidity readings of the interior and exterior; moisture readings of the identifiable areas (5); bio-reveal* swabs of the identifiable areas (5); will not include viable or non-viable samples; and a report provided limited to the identifiable areas with our observations, findings and suggestions.
* bio-reveal – The bio-reveal real-time biological detection system measures the ATP [adenosine tri phosphate] molecule, which is found in all living organisms such as mold, bacteria, plant and animal cells. Biological contaminants and bio-film residues contain ATP, which can be collected, tested and quantified using the bio-reveal system.
Post Remediation Validation Test (PRVT)
Upon completion of any remediation activity the areas need to be tested to assure the Mold contamination has been reduced to acceptable levels. The Post Remediation Validation Test is the final step in any Mold Remediation process. We conduct a visual evaluation, take moisture and humidity readings and finally take air samples both indoors and outdoors with the samples compared against each other to assure that the type and quantity of mold spores are similar in nature and do not exceed in quantity those on the exterior.
Forensic Investigation (FI)
In situations where an Indoor Environmental Air Quality Survey (IEAQS) with an Allergen Screen and Forensic Evaluation is not sufficient to get to the causation of the a water intrusion, a more in depth Forensic Investigation becomes necessary. A Forensic Investigation can involve leak detection and tracking, state of the art electronic moisture detection equipment, infra red technology, pressure testing, destructive testing and our ability, education, work experience and expertise.
Samples are taken as required by the IAQA and IICRC Standards which is based on the square footage of the Property 3 samples would satisfy the square footage requirements on a Property between 1,200 and 1,500sf, depending on the configuration. Additional samples would be required for each additional 500 to 700sf based on configuration.
